Borysenko is a pioneer in integrative medicine. In the early 1980s, she co-founded the Mind Body Institute - a facility devoted to recognizing the importance of the mind and spirituality to health and healing. Her book, "Minding the Body, Mending the Mind," has sold more than 400,000 copies since its release in 1987; a revised edition was published last year. (More)
