Mahatma Gandhi and Mind Power

This year, India commemorates the 60th death anniversary of its father, Mohandas Gandhi, the man who gave up his life to unite and free India. His countrymen called him Mahatma, an Indian title of respect meaning the Blessed Soul.

Showing a strong mental power never seen by the world, Gandhi led his nation in overthrowing a formidable empire. They fought their British rulers by mass civil disobedience, without taking up arms. By a concerted focus on their goal of liberation, the Indians won their freedom without having to fire a single shot. (More)
